Suitable for: Anyone who is, or who wishes to support breastfeeding women or who simply wishes to deepen their knowledge of breastfeeding. This course is suitable for those who have had some basic breastfeeding training before or as a stand alone course for those without previous training.Students who may be interested in this course are Maternity Nurses, Nannies, Doulas, Pregnant women, Breastfeeding mothers, Student Midwives etc

Course Content: Positioning and attachment, observing and assessing a breastfeed, educating and supporting women, mik supply, refusal to feed, common problems, teaching hand expression, expressing and storage times, returning to work, alternative ways to feed a baby breast milk, medication and breastfeeding, getting support, baby friendly initiative.
